EXECUTIVE SESSION (approximately 10:00 a.m.)
To consider discipline and charges against officers or employees of the Hawaii Police
Department, to consider sensitive matters relating to public safety, and to consult with
Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers,
duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92 -5 (a) (2) (4) (5) and the
Hawaii County Charter Section 13 -20 (b).
Investigation and Deliberation of Complaints
➢ HPC 11 -02: Complainant alleged that officers should have done more during
her son's attempted suicide. (Continued from previous meeting.)

➢ HPC 11 -05. Complainant complained about the manner in which the officer
handled her case and alleged that the officer failed to do what was right when he
chose not to arrest the suspect and forwarded the case to the prosecutor.
➢ HPC 11 -07: Complainant complained about the manner in which the officer
spoke to her, and alleged that he made a false report.
➢ HPC 11 -11: Complainant was stopped for possible DUI. He alleged that the
officers used false probable cause for the stop.

• The Police Commission's next monthly meeting will be on Friday, May 27, 2011, in the
Waimea Civic Center Conference Room, 67 -5189 Kamamalu St., Waimea.
