INVOCATION
Commissioner Kaoiwi gave an invocation.
CALL TO ORDER
Chair Lassiter called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m.
ROLL CALL (A quorum was present.)

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Harry S. Kubojiri, Deputy Chief
Paul K. Ferreira, Assistant Chief
Lincoln S. Ashida, Corporation Counsel
Josie Pelayo, Secretary
Vice Chair Whittemore moved to approve the agenda. Commissioner Lundkvist seconded
the motion, and it carried unanimously.
STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEM — None
CORRESPONDENCE 08 -29
From Deputy Police Chief Harry S. Kubojiri notifying the police commission that he would
like to appoint Assistant Police Chief Paul K. Ferreira as his Deputy Police Chief when he
takes office as the new Police Chief. He requests that the commission confirm this
appointment.
Commissioner Sumja moved to confirm the appointment of Paul K. Ferreira as Deputy
Police Chief. Vice Chair Whittemore seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Chair Lassiter announced that the next monthly meeting would be on January 16, 2009, at
the Hunter Education Building, Department of Land and Natural Resources, 66 -1220D
Lalamilo Road, Kamuela.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 4:18 p.m.
