The summary of the proposed Operating Budget is as follows: Receipts: Water Service $32,000,000 Power Charges 23,625,000 Standby Charges 25,000,000 Energy C.I.P. Charges 450,000 Interest Income 1,744,495 Miscellaneous Income 469,300 Rental Income 237,000 TOTAL RECEIPTS $83,525,795 Expenditures: Purchased Power $23,625,000 Personnel Services 23,426,584 Materials, Supplies, Services & Equipment 16,373,500 Debt Service 8,128,660 C.I.P. Reserve 11,972,051 TOTAL EXPENDITURES $83,525,795 The summary of the proposed 5-year Capital Improvement Projects Budget is as follows: Fiscal Year: 2027 $44,500,000 2028 44,950,000 2029 64,050,000 2030 43,500,000 2031 64,500,000 TOTAL 5-YEAR C.I.P. BUDGET $261,500,000 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: The purpose of the public hearing is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to provide comments on the department's proposed Operating and 5-Year Capital Improvement Projects budgets for Fiscal Year 2027. Comments may be presented orally at the public hearing or submitted to the Chairperson in writing by email (dwsL&hawaiidws.ori), fax (808-961-8657),or by mail: 345 Kekuana6'a Street, Suite 20, Hilo, HI 96720. The Chair will unmute testifiers who call in, one phone number at a time. Optional Alternative to Present Remote Oral Testimony: If you would like to testify via an online video link,please email dws(ahawaiidws.org at least 24 hours before the meeting to request the link. You may also email to pre-register to present telephone testimony if you wish to be called on by name or before those who have not pre-registered. Testifiers who wish to remain anonymous or have not pre-registered may still call the testimony phone number and follow the instructions listed above.
