The Applicant respectfully submits the following response regarding statements made in
public testimony concerning PL-USE-2026-000042.
The testimony references the National Provider Identifier (NPI) Registry listing associated
with Big Island Neuro Health Foundation and raises questions regarding whether clinical
operations are already occurring at the subject property.
The NPI registration and associated practice address were established during the
organizational development and healthcare credentialing preparation phase of the
proposed project. The NPI enumeration date reflects the initial administrative registration
date. As with many startup healthcare organizations, administrative registrations,
organizational structures, and associated records evolved during the formation phase of
the nonprofit organization and proposed clinic planning process, including subsequent
organizational filings, trade name approval, and later updates reflected within the NPI
record.
Importantly, the existence of an NPI registration or listed practice address does not
authorize or indicate active clinical operations at the property.
No outpatient medical, psychiatric, or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) services
are currently being provided at the subject property.
Any future healthcare operations remain contingent upon County approvals, permitting,
and compliance with all applicable State and Federal requirements.
