Subject: Bill 147 agenda #3 Operational Concerns to Protect B&B and STVR
Dear Planning Director, Jeff Darrow & Members of the Planning Commission,
I am the owner and operator of a eco green nano wedding venue & B&B, located at 92-8486 Tiki Lane Ocean View HI. I am writing to formally bring to your attention my concern. Will these actions severely
impacting my business and well being and the neighborhood environment.
While I welcome criticism and do everything in my power to uphold the laws of the planning departments requirements to run a peaceful business, in this Great neighborhood. I ask ,what is set in place to protect me
and other STVR and B&B’s from that one unruly neighbor? Malicious reporting: Repeatedly filing fake
complaints with local police, or the HOA just to harass you. I understand there’s always one in every
neighborhood and in the early stages of submitting my special use permit proposal, I was able to turn one
neighbor from thinking they wanted to shut me down, to writing a letter of support. I welcome healthy
competition and community feedback, However, my neighbor's actions if I was not able to settle their
concerns could have impacted my special use permit.
I have a neighbor that is actively living in an unpermitted home on a property that is near and in direct view
of my business , violating municipal local zoning code, e.g., R-1 Residential , AG-1 zoning and building
regulations. But still could have a say in my business because they might not like me?
As a properly licensed and permitted eco green nano wedding venue & bed and breakfast, I strive to comply
with all local regulations, pay requisite taxes, and maintain the character of our community. What is in place
to protect myself and others from that one unruly, meddling neighbor?

practices. I look forward to hearing how your department plans to address this matter.
