Three members of the public gave testimony: <br /> Leland Brady attended as an observer. <br /> Jobette Nabarro followed up on previous discussions about increased <br />opportunities for children and adults with disabilities at the zoo. <br /> Toby Hazel, an elderly resident, described difficulties with bathroom accessibility <br />and a lack of handrails in public facilities and parks, and expressed frustration <br />with the ADA coordinator, requesting guidance on filing a complaint. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />a. Approval of the meeting minutes of February 2, 2026. <br />Chair Parks called for public testimony. There being no public testimony, the meeting <br />continued as follows. <br /> <br />Action: Chair Parks called for this item to be deferred until the next meeting. <br /> <br />BUSINESS <br />a. Member Reports and Updates: <br /> Vice Chair Sky Narvaez reported that individuals who applied to join the <br />committee did not receive responses, including a deaf or hard-of-hearing <br />applicant. <br /> Concerns were raised about bullying of youth with disabilities in schools, <br />including a recent incident involving a student with autism. <br /> Suggestions were made for a summer resource fair and recurring events focused <br />on celebrating abilities. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
