Some people are confused as to Why a Privately Owned vacation rental would be sanctioned by the U.S. Department of the Interior / National Park Service ? Though one of the owners is a Volcano Park Ranger; yet it's not registered as a separate property with Hawaii County, it's listed residential, in a residential neighborhood, about 3 miles from the Volcano Park entrance. This is a bed and breakfast vacation rental that could be misleading vacationers as to true ownership, and responsible parties, etc. Juan, your department might be able to break the confusion of sanctioned, or not, by national park service. We The People Thank You For Your Input---Devon Westent Bob here is a copy of email sent 5/18/'26, NPS staff is looking into this matter.
