ORDER GRANTING CONTINUANCE OF HEARING
PURSUANT to the Board of Appeals (hereinafter"Board") Rule 3-3, a virtual pre-
hearing conference was held on July 11, 2025. Ian Welsey-Smith, Esq.,Attorney for Appellant

Ferguson, Deputy Corporation Counsel,Attorney for Appellee STEPHEN M. PAUSE,
DIRECTOR, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, Sylvia A. Wan, Deputy Corporation
Counsel,Attorney for the Board of Appeals, and Cathy Lewis, Chair, appeared via Zoom.
On July 11, 2025,Appellant requested a continuance in this matter, currently scheduled
for August 08, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. Appellee had no objection to the continuance. PURSUANT to
the Board of Appeals Rule 3-1 (c), the chairperson of the Board may postpone or continue any
hearing.
ACCORDINGLY, this matter shall be continued to November 14, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., at
the Hilo County Council Chambers, Suite 1401, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720.
A pre-hearing conference shall be scheduled for September 30, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.. The
Zoom invite will be emailed to all parties closer to the date of the pre-hearing conference.
Appellant is ordered to mail a notice of the new hearing date to all persons required to be
notified in accordance with Board of Appeals Rule 8-11(d).
