APPLICANT’S REQUEST:
•The applicant is requesting to amend Condition No. 8 (enrollment) to expand the
current use of the school from kindergarten through 12th grade to include
preschool. In addition, the applicant is also requesting to include two adjacent
parcels (6-5-004:081 & :085).
APPLICANT’S REASON FOR REQUEST:
•According to the applicant, they would like to expand the educational offerings
by adding an early childhood education program to further advance the schools
educational mission and better serve the needs of the families of Waimea.
•Also include two recently procured properties (P.81 and P.85).
PERMIT HISTORY
•Parker School was established in 1975 on TMKʻs 6-5-005:018,
019, 025 and 027
•Enrollment included Middle and High School
•The parcels are zoned CV-7.5 and did not require a Use Permit
•In 2005 Use Permit 05-00001 was issued to establish
Elementary School on a portion of parcel 6-5-004:025
•In 2010 the Use Permit was amended to include parcels 6-5-
004:025, 026, 028 and 63
•This request is to include two parcels 6-5-004:081 and 085
•The proposed preschool facility will be on parcel 085
