ORDINANCE NO. 26 44
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I GENERAL PLAN 2045
AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 05-025,AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I:
SECTION 1. The purpose ofthis ordinance is to adopt a General Plan in compliance
with Section 3-15,Hawai`i County Charter and to repeal the 2005 General Plan adopted by
Ordinance No. 05-025, as amended.
SECTION 2. The attached document identified as Appendix A,which also includes the
General Plan Land Use Maps and the Facilities Maps, is hereby adopted as the Hawai`i County
General Plan. .
SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 05-025 (2005 General Plan) and subsequent amending
Ordinance Nos. 06-153, 07-070, 09-161, and 14-087 are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision ofthis ordinance, or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance, is held invalid,the invalidity does not affect other provisions or
applications ofthe ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or
application, and to this end the provisions ofthis ordinance are severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
