aloha - I am writing as s long-term Hawai’i Island resident, farmer, small business owner and taxpayer in opposition
to bill 147.
Our hosted STVR has supported our family and our agricultural activity as well as offered employment, visitor
spending and tax compliance for over a decade.
Bill 157 is vague, burdensome and discriminatory to property owners of Hawai’i Island.
Please protect resident operated farm stays
Maintain simple regulations and tax compliance
Support local jobs and small businesses
Help local families stay on the Big Island through their participation in the visitor industry.
