•To operate a two-bedroom bed and breakfast within an existing
three-bedroom dwelling which will accommodate a maximum of
6 guests.
•In addition to the lodging, guests may be offered farm related
and cultural experiences which may include:
Guided farm tours explaining the current farm operations
Small educational workshops related to farming, food
production, or sustainability.
Meals prepared using fresh ingredients harvested from the
farm.
Cultural experiences that respectfully showcase the history,
traditions, and values of Hawaiʻi.
APPLICANT’S REASON FOR REQUEST:
•The proposed B&B operation is intended to function as an
accessory use to an active working farm by:
Providing supplemental farm income
Supporting agricultural sustainability
Offering guests educational farm experiences and cultural
activities while preserving the agricultural use and rural
character of the property.
