Dear Commissioners,
We are writing as a residents and property owners at 75-456 Hoene St. Close within 30 feet, makai, to the property
referenced in Application No. PL-SPP-2026 000132. We are formally registering our opposition to the applicants
request to rezone the property to establish a 3 bedroom bed and breakfast.
The rezoning will have detrimental impacts on our immediate neighborhood, specifically regarding noise and
compatibility with the quiet, residential character of our neighborhood. The house next door at 75-436 Nani Kailua
had operated as a STVR until its sale on January 2, 2025. As full-time residents, we and our neighbors have noticed
an immediate difference in noise reduction. We also have concerns about a potential reduction in property value
should a rezoning take place.
For these reasons, we respectfully request that the Leeward Planning Commission deny the rezoning application.
