Dear Chair Dean Au and Members of the Leeward
Planning Commission,
My name is Fallon, and I am 15 years old. I am writing
in strong support of Application # PL-SPP-2026-
000128 for Kona Aerials.
I have been a gymnast at Kona Aerials since I was 18
months old. For nearly my entire life, this gym has
been my second home. I am now a member of the
competitive team, and through years of hard work and
the support of Coach Nanette, I have qualified for both
the State Meet and Regional Championships.
Kona Aerials has helped shape who I am. Gymnastics
has taught me discipline, perseverance, responsibility,
and how to keep working toward my goals even when
things are difficult. Coach Nanette has always believed
in me and encouraged me to do my best, both in the
gym and outside of it. The lessons I've learned here
will stay with me long after my gymnastics career
ends.
The gym is also an important place for so many
children and families in our community. It provides a
safe, positive environment where kids can stay active,
build confidence, make friends, and learn valuable life
skills. It is much more than just a building it is a place
where young people grow into stronger, more
confident individuals.
It would be heartbreaking to lose the place that has
been such an important part of my life for almost 14
years. I hope future generations of gymnasts have the
same opportunities that I have had.
Please approve the special use permit for Kona
Aerials so it can continue serving our community and
helping young athletes like me achieve their dreams.
