Subject:Request for earlier Route 401 service from Seaview/Kalapana
Date:Sunday, June 14, 2026 12:33:27 AM
Hi Hele-On Mass Transit,
I’m requesting an earlier morning Route 401 trip from Seaview/Kalapana to Pāhoa so riders
can connect with the early Route 40 buses to Hilo.
Right now, Seaview/Kalapana service appears to start too late for work, school, medicalappointments, and airport/early Hilo connections.
Please consider adding a morning feeder from Seaview/Kalapana to Puna Kai/Pāhoa that
connects with the 5:30 AM or 7:30 AM Route 40 northbound to Hilo.
I’d also like this request forwarded to the Fixed Route Programs team and placed before theTransportation Commission if possible.
Thank you.
