Dear Commissioners,
I watched some of the Windward Planning Commission's hearing on Bill 170 earlier this
month and am glad that the WPC will be hearing it again on Oct 1.
I am also glad to see that Councilwoman Kimball has finally drafted bill 170. Its a good definition however, I would like to see the the bill's definition of data centers further
strengthened to include all of its nasty environmental impacts (noise polution, light polution, massive water useage, massive electricity useage and massive land useage, etc.) that follow
every data center already built on the US continent.
I think the bill should also call for an extended moratorium on data centers.
Therefore, I am opposing Bill 170 at this time until further improvements to its definition are made.
