NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
of a meeting of the Arborist Advisory Committee of the County
of Hawai‘i in accordance with the provisions of Article 10, of the Hawai‘i County Code.

1.Report Committee funding balance for current fiscal year – M. Cottle
ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES
July 12, 2007 and September 19, 2007 meetings
PUBLIC STATEMENTS
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1.Sample Tree Signs, including the mock-up for the Moreton Bay Fig - Chair Bisel.
2.Status of Installing the Tree Signs for the Mango Groves - M. Cottle
3.Status on the proposal to submit Grant Requests to Kaulunani Council - M. Kraus.
4.Status on the Exceptional Tree Assessment Protocol - J. Anderson/M. Kraus.
5.Request from the Legislative Auditor’s office to consider rearranging the list of the
exceptional trees to facilitate amendments. Review and approve reformatted exceptional tree
list. - M. Cottle
NEW BUSINESS
1.Status of requesting discretionary funds from County Council for signage program - Chair
Bisel/ J. Anderson/ S. Stanbro

Information related to the above matters is on file in the office of the Planning
Department in the Aupuni Center, 101 Pauahi Street, Suite 3, Hilo, Hawai‘i, and in the Planning
Department’s West Hawaii Office at 75-5706 Kuakini Highway, Suite l09, in Kailua-Kona,
Hawai‘i, and is open to inspection during office hours.
Any disabled person requiring special assistance or person requiring auxiliary aid and/or
services to participate in the hearing should contact the Planning Department at 961-8288 five
(5) working days prior to the hearing so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawai‘i County Clerk within five days
of becoming a lobbyist. {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawai‘i County Code} A lobbyist
means, “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours
in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence
legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with
public officials.” {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a)(6), Hawai‘i County Code} Registration forms
