Thank you for your volunteer service.
A few suggestions re. Bill 170/ data center legislation:
Put a moratorium on data center plan approvals for 6 – 12 months to allow time to develop County
and State legislation
Require Planning Commision and County Council approval of all data centers
Require impact studies, similar to an Environmental Assessment
Enact noise restrictions and limits on air emisisons
Require data centers to supply their own water and power
Impose additional taxes
Prohibit County officials and employees from doing non-disclosure agreements with data
center companies
Recommend that State legislators develop legislation re. data centers, so centers cannot avoid
oversight by siting on State land
