Dear Windward Planning Commission Chair and members,
Bill 170 is absolutely important and necessary for the health of our community on the Big Island. Thank you for this bill banning data centers from ever being built on our island.
From the heavy negative impact on our environment, the excessive use of water and the cost of imported fuels, building a data center on our fragile island doesn’t make sense. One thing we are all committed to here is taking care of the aina and not having business interests that prioritize their earnings over the health of our community and actually would erode the health of people and our precious environment.
Yes to Bill 170!
