Aloha Windward Planning Commission,
I am submitting testimony in support of the intent of Bill 170 regarding prevenative regulations
assuring that safegaurds are in place against exploitative development of data centers.
In particular I adamantly oppose the use of the Kaohe/Mauna Kea Deep aquifer for cooling of
data centers. Also, any of extraction from deep contained aquifers should not be allowed
without understanding these pristine systems and the hazards development have to their long-
term integrity and sustainability.
