Aloha Leeward Planning Commission members:
I understand you will be addressing Bill 170 again at this week's meeting.
Please support the intent of Bill 170 that says we want to define Data Centers and
prohibit their inclusion as a permitted use in Hawaii County.
Please favorably recommend its passage to the County Council, where the Council
can give due diligence to shore up the definition of the hyperscale AI data centers that
most island residents want to ban.
Mahalo for your time and attention to the matter which is so important for our
community. We have an opportunity to be a role model for higher levels of
government.
