Aloha,
I would like to comment on Bill 170 which would ban data centers on Hawaii Island. I
support this ban.
I'm originally from the DC area so I still get Facebook posts from that area.
Northern Virginia or parts of it have become a national center for data centers. I guess I
knew they were noisy ( I definitely wouldn't want one in my back yard) but I didn't
realize the light pollution associated with them until I saw this post about a data center in
Reston, Virginia.

Given the current Hawaii County light restrictions, I can’t believe the Planning
Commission would even consider any exemptions.
