ORDER GRANTING CONTINUANCE OF HEARING
PURSUANT to the Board of Appeals (hereinafter "Board") Rule 3-3, a virtual pre -
hearing conference was held on October 5, 2026. Patrick K. Wong, Esq., Attorney for Appellant
KAIMU COVE, LLC., Jean K. Campbell, Deputy Corporation Counsel, Attorney for Appellee
JEFFREY DARROW, PLANNING DIRECTOR, COUNTY OF HAWAI`I, Sylvia A. Wan,
Deputy Corporation Counsel, Attorney for the Board of Appeals, and Cathy Lewis, Chair,
appeared vice Zoom.
On October 5, 2026, Appellant requested a thirty (30) continuance in this matter,
currently scheduled for November 13, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. Appellee has no objection to the request
for a continuance. PURSUANT to Board of Appeals Rule 3-1(c), the chairperson of the Board
may postpone or continue any hearing.
ACCORDINGLY, this matter shall be continued to Friday, January 29, 2027, at 9:30
a.m., at the Hilo County Council Chambers, Suite 1401, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawaii
96720.
A pre -hearing conference has been scheduled for December 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., via
Zoom. The Zoom link will be e-mailed to all parties closer to the date of the pre -hearing
conference.
Appellant is further ordered to mail a notice of the new hearing date to all persons
required to be notified in accordance with Board of Appeals Rule 8-11(d).
