<br />MINUTES <br />COMMITTEE ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN <br />Friday, November 16, 2007, 10:00 a.m. <br />Waimea Civic Center Conference Room <br />PRESENT ABSENT <br />Dawn Pung, Chair Carol Kitaoka, Vice-Chair <br />Ellen Takazawa, Secretary Janet Coburn <br />Nancy Kelly, Treasurer Renee Schoen, Corporation Counsel <br />Charmaine Ka-ipo (ex-officio) <br />Andrea Mejia <br />Katie Nova <br />Kathleen Peters <br />Elena Cabatu, HSCSW Commissioner <br /> (ex-officio) <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 10:10 a.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />A quorum was present. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Agenda was approved. A consensus was reached. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />K. Nova moved to approve the July 20, 2007 minutes. K. Peters seconded the motion. <br />The motion was passed. <br />TREASURER’S REPORT <br />The treasurer’s report was circulated. <br />N. Kelly reported that the committee had received funding from Councilwomen <br />Brenda Ford and Emily Naeole for community events. N. Kelly requested that a thank <br />you letter be sent to Councilwomen B. Ford and E. Naeole. <br />N. Kelly agreed to work up a 2008-2009 community events proposal for funding, which <br />committee members can use to request funding for community programs. <br />K. Peters moved to accept the treasurer’s report. C. Kaipo seconded the motion.
