NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT COMMISSION
DATE: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2001
TIME: 9:00 A.M. – 9:30 A.M.
PLACE: STATE OFFICE BUILDING, CONFERENCE
ROOMS A & B,

Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes §91-3(1), notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held
in order to hear testimony from the public regarding the Environmental Management Commission's
proposed Rules and Regulations on the following subjects:
I. Officers
II. Duties and Powers of the Chairperson
III. Duties and Powers of the Vice-Chairperson
IV. Meetings
V. Notice
VI. Quorum and Transaction of Business
VII. Public Statements
VIII. Public Information
IX. Minutes
X. Rule Making Procedures
XI Authority
All interested persons are invited to attend and they shall be afforded an opportunity to be heard. Those
desiring to present oral testimony should register prior to the convening of the meeting. Those unable to
attend may submit their written comments on the subject to the Department of Environmental
Management, 25 Aupuni Street, Room 202, Hilo, Hawaii 96720.
The proposed rules to be adopted will be mailed at no cost to any interested person who requests a copy
by contacting Valerie Tanimoto at 961-8323. Copies of the proposed rules may be obtained at the
Department of Environmental Management, 25 Aupuni Street, Room 202, Hilo, Hawaii 96720 between
the hours of 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
