WRITTEN COMMUNICATION Communication No. 05- 005 —E -mail from April at Aikoze@aol.com dated January 9, 2006 sent to Amy Self inquiring about property located below Na`alehu and above Whittington Beach Park and Honu`apo Bay and Amy Self's reply and acknowledgment of her e-mail dated January 10, 2006. FINANCE DIRECTOR'S REPORT Nancy Crawford, Deputy Finance Director, will answer questions from the commissioners regarding the Commission's budget or any other financial matters. CHAIRMAN'S REPORT • Evaluation of pass commission meetings • Discuss media releases for the purpose of increase public awareness of this commission; including article in West Hawaii Today on January 13, 2006. COMMITTEE REPORTS • Committee on Rules & Procedures The Commission will discuss the [PROPOSED] RULES OF PRACTICE AND PROCEDURE OF THE HAWAI ' I COUNTY PUBLIC ACCESS, OPEN SPACE AND NATURAL RESOURCES PRESERVATION COMMISSION. RECOMMENDATION: The Committee on Rules & Procedures recommends that the Commission approve the Proposed Rules of Practice and Procedure for adoption at a public hearing to be held pursuant to Chapter 91 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. • Committee on Assessment Criteria The Commission will discuss criteria sheet "Lands /Entitlements Category Descriptions" and Appendix "F" of the County of Kauai's 2005 Report Sub - committees will report the results of the findings of community meetings held January 18, 19 and 20, 2006. ANNOUNCEMENTS: • The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Department of Liquor Control, Conference Room, Hilo Lagoon Centre, Suite 230, Hilo, Hawaii 96720 • Set Agenda for Tuesday, February 21, 2006 ADJOURNMENT NOTE: If you require an accommodation or auxiliary aid and /or services to participate in this meeting (i.e., sign language interpreter, large print, etc.) please call 961 -8297.
