OLD BUSINESS
• Motion was voted on at January 9, 2006, meeting to have Commissioner
Jocelyn Garovoy draft a letter for Chair John Replogle's signature to Mayor
Kim, Councilmembers and Legislators introducing this new Commission
and providing the schedule of island -wide community meetings. Please
see Communication Nos. 06 -00 7 -06 -00 7 (p)
GUEST SPEAKER
• Virginia Aste, from Puna Friends of the Park, a non - profit organization
will do a presentation on Cape Kumukahi located on the Puna Coastline.
• Roger Imoto, Hawaii Branch Manager for the Department of Land &
Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Wildlife, will speak to the
Commission regarding State lands and answer questions from the
Commission

DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE REPORT
Personnel from the Department of Finance will answer questions from the
commissioners regarding the Commission's budget or any other financial
matters.
CHAIRPERSON'S REPORT
Chairman to provide comments and /or information relating to matters of
concern to the commission.
RULES & PROCEDURE COMMITTEE REPORT
The Commission will discuss the [PROPOSED] RULES OF PRACTICE AND
PROCEDURE OF THE HAWAI ' I COUNTY PUBLIC ACCESS, OPEN SPACE AND
NATURAL RESOURCES PRESERVATION COMMISSION.
RECOMMENDATION: The Committee on Rules & Procedures recommends
that the Commission approve the Proposed Rules of Practice and
Procedure for adoption at a public hearing to be held pursuant to
Chapter 91 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA COMMITTEE REPORT
• Sub - committees will report the results of the findings of community
meetings held January 23, 25, 26, 27, 30 and 31, 2006 and February 2,
2006.
• The Commission will discuss criteria sheet "Lands /Entitlements Category
Descriptions" and Appendix "F" of the County of Kauai's 2005 Report
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
• The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at
the Hawaii County Council, Kona Office, Kailua Trade Center, 75 -5706 Hanama
