RE: CREATION OF AN AD HOC TECHNICAL COMMITTEE
To follow up on the discussion at the May 12, 2011, Redistricting Commission meeting, I would
like this Commission to consider the creation of an Ad hoc Technical Committee.
Pursuant to Hawai‘i Revised Statutes (HRS) § 92-2.5(b)(1) this ad hoc committee, if created,
will be limited in scope and shall be composed of at least two members, but not more than would
constitute a quorum of the Commission. Upon the completion of the ad hoc committee’s work, it
shall be disbanded immediately. The method of appointing members shall be decided upon by
the Commission members present at the June 23, 2011 meeting.
