NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENT that the Water Board of the County of Hawaii will hold a
public hearing at the Waimea Community Center, 65-1260 Kawaihae Road, Karnuela, Ilawai`i, on
March 24, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. for the following purpose:
Pursuant to Sections 8-2(c) and 10-4 of the Hawaii County Charter, considering and
adopting the proposed Operating Budget and Capital Improvements Budget for the
Fiscal Year July 1., 2009, to June 30, 2010. The summary of the proposed Operating;
Budget is as follows:
Receipts:
Sale of Water Service $39,700,000
Interest Income 375,000
Miscellaneous Income 300,000
TOTAL RECEIPTSQ3 7540Q
Expenditures:
Materials, Supplies, and Services $23,172,300
Personnel Services 13,761,500
Debt Service 3,026,000

before the date of the public hearing; but anyone interested may appear in person to submit their data,
views, or arguments orally before the Water Board at the hearing. Submissions made to the
Chairperson prior to the date of the hearing shall be mailed or delivered to the Chairperson in care of
the Department of Water Supply, 345 Kekuana6`a Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720.
If accommodation or auxiliary aid and/or services (i.e., sign language, interpreter, large print)
