CANCELLATON OF WATER CONSERVATION NOTICE
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
AFFECTED AREAS: UPPER KA'IE'IE IN PAPA'IKOU ALONG AND IMMEDIATELY
SURROUNDING KA'IE'IE ROAD AND FROM HOMESTEAD
ROAD TO UPPER KA'IE'IE, SOUTH HILO, HAWAI'I
The October 7, 2008 Emergency Water Conservation Notice for Upper Ka'ie'ie Mauka area customers
of the Department of Water Supply has been lifted. The Papaikou Water System is back to normal.
The Department of Water Supply would like to express its gratitude for the excellent response to the
conservation notice, as the usage rate dropped. This drop in consumption ensured adequate supply to
meet basic demand during drought conditions.
