REDISTRICTING COMMISSION
Public Opportunity to Create a Plan
For County Council Districts
Chapter 36, Article 5, Section 36-7,
Hawaii County Code, Plan Proposed by the Public, states:
"Any resident or group of residents of the County shall have the
right to propose an alternate plan to the commission for review."
(See also Ordinance No. I1-29)
All plans submitted must adhere to the criteria set forth in Section 3-17,
Hawaii County Charter and Ordinance No. 11-29, Articles 3, 4, and 5.
To Create and Submit a Plan:
✓ Go to https://redistricting.hawaii.gov
✓ Click on "Create an Account" to establish a "Login"
✓ Read Tutorial on Web Site
✓ Create Proposed Council District Plan
✓ Review Tables/Charts to Validate Plan 9
✓ Email Plan to HCRC2011 @co.hawaii.hi.us
(DO NOT use "Submit"button for Council District Plans)
