Regular Meeting of the Pension Board
November 24, 2003

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Beatrice Lau at 1:31 p.m.
ROLL CALL
The following Board members were present: Beatrice L. Lau, Susan Sulprizio,William S.
Taylor and Sean Oda. Also present were Craig Masuda,Deputy Corporation Counsel; Al S.
Konishi, County Clerk; Linda Tsunoda and Susan Tanouye,Accounts Division; and Irma
Sumera, Secretary. Board member Spike Werner and Finance Director William Takaba were
absent.
The Secretary announced there was a quorum.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES—August 25,2003
Sean Oda moved and William Taylor seconded that the minutes of August 25, 2003 be approved;
motion carried.
STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
No one from the public was in attendance.
NEW BUSINESS
ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR YEAR 2004
Sean Oda moved and Susan Sulprizio seconded that Spike Werner be nominated as Chairman
and Susan Sulprizio be nominated as Vice Chairman; motion carried.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Staff member Susan Tanouye distributed statistics on pensioners for the year 2003 (see attached).
Irma Sumera asked that members be on the lookout for the financial disclosure forms that will be
mailed to board members sometime in January 2004.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business,meeting adjourned at 1:45 p.m.
