COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 362 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 06 167 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 <br />(2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED) RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24 -281, schedule 29 <br />(Parking prohibited during certain hours on certain streets; tow -away zone), Hawai'i <br />County Code 1983 (2005 edition), is amended by adding the following to be <br />appropriately numbered and to read as follows: <br />"'Section 24 -281. Schedule 29. Parking prohibited during certain hours on <br />certain streets; tow -away zone. <br />When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall stop, stand or park <br />a vehicle between the hours specified herein upon any of the streets or parts of streets <br />as follows: <br />(a) Hamakua <br />(b) North Hilo <br />(1) Old Mamalahoa Highway, mauka side, at Papa'aloa, beginning at a point <br />two hundred thirty -three feet on the Hilo side of Kaiwilahilahi Bridge for a <br />distance of one hundred fifty -four feet in the Hilo direction from 7:00 a.m. <br />to 5:00 p.m. <br />(c) South Hilo <br />(1) 'Alae Street, both sides, from Laimana Street to Hala'i Street between the <br />hours of 7:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on school days. <br />(2) Banyan Drive, east side, beginning at a point nine hundred forty feet east <br />northeast of Lihiwai Street and extending five hundred seventy -one feet in <br />the northeasterly direction between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. <br />(3) Banyan Drive, makai side, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesdays. <br />(4) Banyan Drive, mauka side, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursdays. <br />(5) Banyan Drive, north side, beginning at a point one thousand seventy -eight <br />feet southwest of Lili'uokalani Park Perimeter Road to Lihiwai Street <br />between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. <br />(6) Banyan Drive, south side, beginning at Lihiwai Street and extending five <br />hundred forty -one feet in the easterly direction between the hours of 11:00 <br />p.m. and 5:00 a.m. <br />(7) Banyan Drive, west side, beginning at a point seven - tenths mile Puna of <br />Lihiwai Street and extending seven hundred eighty feet in the southerly <br />direction towards Kamehameha Avenue between the hours of 11:00 p.m. <br />and 5:00 a.m. <br />
