and Members of the 2011 Hawaii County Redistricting Commission

SUBJECT: Redistricting Population Extraction Numbers
This memorandum concerns Communication 32, "Update on Status of Esri Software and Help
Resources" to be discussed at the August 28, 2011 Redistricting Commission Meeting. On
August 23, 2011 in a telephone conference call with Royce Jones, Hawaii- Pacific Islands
Region Manager of Esri, Mr. Jones informed the Clerk's Office that the population extractions
will be performed in two steps with a completion date of September 6, 2011. The first step is
to extract the numbers by block. This first step will be completed by Monday, August 29,
2011. The second step is to load the numbers by block into the Esri Software. This second
step will be completed on or before September 6, 2011.
Mr. Jones noted he is available at 4:30 p.m. today (08 -24 -2011) should the Commission wish
to further discuss the extraction timelines noted above Esri Software.
