Re: Redistricting Maps -- Corrected Map 39: software glitch
Please replace Map 39 (as published on the Redistricting Committee's website) with the
Map 39 as corrected - submitted on September 16th. I corrected Map 39 to be
consistent with the 5% deviation maximum requirement.
While working on options for a redistricting map, I used the "Integrity Check" program to
determine if the draft map met the deviation and road connectivity criteria. However
the software allows for 10% deviation --so the maps/ submitted allowed for up to 10%
deviation, not 5 %. 1 did not realize the software incorrectly defaulted to a10% deviation
when on the County Council program.
My point is that:
1 corrected Map 39 (submitted on September 15th) to meet the S °o deviation
requirement (submitted as Map 39 - corrected), therefore please review this corrected
map 39, not my initial submission.
