Dear Commissioners,
The Pi {ihonua Community Association would like to express its desire to be kept
together as a community within the Hilo proper area as you deliberate and
consider redistricting boundaries for the future council elections.
The community is composed of the former Pi iho n ua Camp 3, Camp 4 and Camp
which is located above Akoiea Road along Waianuenue Avenue and transitions
into the Wihonua Road.
At one time in the past, our community was split in half when they used the
l aianuenue Avenue /Pi`ibonua Road as the dividing line for the state House
district, We hope that past history does not repeat itself for this council
redistricting and hereby request that our community be kept whole within the Hilo
proper area.
Your favorable consideration is deeply appreciated.
