HomeMy WebLinkAboutSDAT Program Flyer FINALSustainable Design Assessment Team Program Downtown Hilo N May 5 -7, 2009 A Program of the American Institute of Architects Center for Communities by Design "The Mission of the SDAT Program for Downtown Hilo is to prioritize and begin implementation of sustainable strategies and actions, building upon the EDH 2025 Plan and our broad foundation of local community and governmental partnerships with an infusion of technical assistance and best practices " The purpose of the Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) is to develop a road map for improving Downtown Hilo's sustainability —as defined by our community's ability to meet the needs of today without reducing the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Sustainability Tip #1 Walk, Bike, Hele On, or Car Pool to the SDAT Public Gatherings! The American Institute of Architects will send a volunteer multi - disciplinary team to Hilo to work with local implementation partners and stakeholders in a 3 -day intensive design workshop from May 5 -7, 2009.
