More
County of Haivai'i is an Equal Opporhuiit\ Provider and Emplo\er.
The Vision Concept is a series of five (5) illustrations, hand -drawn by local artist Charles
Snyder, that provide a visual rendering of how Downtown Hilo could look in 2025. It
enhances the written EnVision Downtown Hilo 2025 Plan by providing a visual
representation of design - related features in public spaces throughout Downtown Hilo.
Earlier this year, the draft Vision Concept was presented at numerous venues around
Downtown Hilo. At these events, comments and feedback were collected and used as
the driving force in finalizing the Vision Concept. The end result is a set of illustrations
that have been truly brought to life with brilliant watercolor.
The Vision Concept is intended to inspire dialogue and further the formation of
collaborative partnerships to create a livable and vibrant Downtown Hilo.
