meetings but would like my voice to be heard. Rural Hamakua is a unique geographical
region and a special part of Hawaii's economy and heritage. It is important to me that it
continues to have its own district with county council representative who is dedicated to
the area, and not shared with neighboring communities who have completely different
issues. I am in favor of the Community Plan 40 preserving an independent rural
Hamakua Council District.
