Subject: Hamakua Redistricting Plan
We are against Plan A for redistricting for two reasons.
• W believe that the Hamakua district, as currently drawn, makes sense. Historically a farming district,
we are trying to come up with ways to prosper and make our small communities happy and healthy in
more modern times. We are not Hilo, and we are not Waimea.
• Dominic Yagong is a representative with integrity who works hard for us. He understands our issues. A
cynical citizen might see Plan A as an attempt to reduce his influence.
