Subject: Splitting Hamakua down the middle

To Whom It May Concern,
After gaining further understanding of what Commission Plan A does to Hamakua, it would
be disastrous for the Council to endorse Plan A. It would cut Hamakua zone down right
down the middle. All of those in Hamakua Zone need to have unified representation, or it
would be equivalent to no representation at all.
This is not simply an academic matter. If the Hamakua Zone is split it will have negative
consequences for Honokaa and Hamakua. Please do what is right for the future of the
Hamakua Zone, and the people of the Big Island, and vote in support of Community Plan
40.
