Aloha, I do not agree with Plan A or any agenda to amend District 1 and it's voice as a separate
community of Big Island. We are currently working on our CDP to help define our future of the
Hamakua. This is a very unique coast, unlike any other eco- climate of BI. We are also very different in
relationship to community lifestyles of either Waimea or Hilo. It would be a real shame to "blend" our
wants and needs, which are very particular to the rural, non - commercial lifestyles that most locals enjoy
here on the Hamakua and lose them under the terms of Plan A. We need to support the integrity and
uniqueness of our Hamakua. Thank you, Dave DeEsch
