Subject: Council redistricting Testimony
To the Hawaii County Redistricting Commission,
As a resident of Pa'auilo Mauka in the District of Hamakua 1 would like to express my disapproval of Draft Plan
A. Splitting the current district in this way would result in the two parts being lumped into districts whose
interests are vastly different and would overwhelm the agricultural interests of Hamakua.
Hamakua must remain intact and not subject to "gerrymandering ".
Hawaii is not Texas.
