Subject: testimony in favor of Community Plan 40
Aloha, Redistricting Commission
Thank you for the opportunity to testify.
I strongly oppose Plan A which seeks to divide the Hamakua district in half, which seems not only counter
intuitive but, compromising as it does the intact, natural bio- regional or ahupua'a nature of our community in
favor of a contrived political overlay would greatly dilute our community's highly important representation and
community dynamics.
Please take my strong support of Community Plan 40 into account when you make your decision.
