Asa 57 yrs old resident of Paauilo, UH Ag. degree holder, life long resident of Hawaii, 1 hold that cutting
Hamakua in half is a bad idea.
This last refuge of prime farm land for Hawaii would not give proper representation to the resource of land
that Hamakua is. While assumed that our container lines will always be intact, it can be argued that more self
sustainability can only be good and if we get too surplus of growing, that these some lines can transport
exports. This can only be if we prioritize and manage this resource within the zoning plan. If relugated to and
lumped in with the concernsof Hilo and NorthKohala, Hamakua will be under represented.
Please vote against this ommendement.
