RE: RE- NAMING OF NEW COUNCIL DISTRICTS
Members of the 2011 Hawaii County Redistricting Commission,
I would like the Commission to discuss our making a recommendation to the County Elections
Office to re -name the new Council districts for the purpose of avoiding /mitigating public
confusion.
There has been some discussion in previous meetings about how the names influence public
perceptions, so this matter will be a more detailed discussion with that as a focus.
