Aloha Karen,
This email confirms that Esri received the plan adopted by the Hawaii County Redistricting Commission
on November 30, 2011 as a .plan file named "FINAL Redistricting Plan.plan" as an attachment to an
email from Shyla Ayau sent at 2:55 pm HST on November 30, 2011.
Esri has delivered final maps and boundary descriptions to the Hawaii County Elections Division based
on the "FINAL Redistricting Plan.plan" adopted by the Hawaii County Redistricting Commission on
November 30, 2011. Two sets of maps, one for color printing and one for black and white printing, were
delivered. Each set contained one countywide map, nine district maps (one for each new council district),
and two detail maps.
In addition, Esri delivered boundary descriptions for each new council district using a metes and bounds
algorithm. These boundary descriptions were also based on the "FINAL Redistricting Plan.plan" adopted
by the Hawaii County Redistricting Commission on November 30, 2011. An additional map showing the
starting points for each district's boundary description was also provided.
