1. Minutes of Meeting of July 25, 2011.
PRESENTATIONS

WAIMEA TRAILS AND GREENWAYS- (15 minutes)
- Clem Lam, chair of the Waimea Trails and
Greenways committee will do a presentation on this project which creates a corridor through
Waimea town along the Waikoloa Stream consisting of trails and greenways.
REPORTS

SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS AND UPDATES (20 minutes)
– SKCDP AC members will report on
the recent activities of the following subcommittees.

3.
DISCUSS SUBCOMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS (15 minutes)
– The AC will discuss the assignment
of a new subcommittee under District-Wide Matters subcommittee to focus on Department of
Hawaiian Home Lands concerns.

REVIEW HAWAI‘I COUNTY CODE CHAPTER 16, ARTICLE 3, SECTION 166, DUTIES AND
-
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CDP ACTION COMMITTEES (15 minutes)
– The AC will review and
discuss the duties and responsibilities listed in Section 16-6 of Hawai‘i County Code Chapter 16 as
it relates to the Action Committees.

(prior to meeting date) of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (b), Hawaii County Code}. A
lobbyist means “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spend more than five hours
in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or
administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.” (Article
15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code)

interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at 961-8288 as soon as
possible, but no later than five working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations.
“Other reasonable modification” refers to communication methods or devices for people with disabilities
who are mentally and/or physically challenged
