ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
1. Minutes of Meeting of November 28, 2011.
REPORTS
1. SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS AND UPDATES (30 minutes)
– SKCDP AC members will
report on the recent activities of the following subcommittees.
a) Puako – The Subcommittee will provide an update on the December 7, 2011 Puako
Community Association meeting which includes; the annual meeting scheduled for
January 14, 2012; a special report on the Humpback Whale Sanctuary; survey on reef
use; concerns of recreational use of fire break; shoreline access signage; and the PCA
newsletter.

b) Kawaihae – No report

c) WaikoloaThe Subcommittee will report on the Waikoloa town meeting from earlier
this month and the discussion on bus service for Waikoloa; efforts to make the
Waikoloa public school cross walk safer; repairs to the Waikoloa emergency
evacuation road; and the other topics covered at that meeting. The Subcommittee will
also report on the Waikoloa leadership council meeting from October where they
discussed similar topics as above and the need for an emergency center in Waikoloa
and the extension of Paniolo Avenue.
d) Waimea – The Subcommittee will provide a report on the status of the Waimea
Community Association Design Review Committee; they are reviewing the Waimea

Design Plan for revisions. The Subcommittee will also provide an update from the
December 13, 2011 South Kohala Traffic Safety Meeting.
e) District-Wide Matters – No report.

NEW BUSINESS
2. REVIEW WORK PLAN TEMPLATES FOR SUBCOMMITTEES (20 minutes) –
The
SKCDP AC will review the work plan templates, goals and objectives for the
subcommittees for 2012.
3.
PROPOSALS FOR INCLUSION IN CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (CIP) BUDGET
(20 minutes)
– The SKCDP AC will review CIP priorities from the SKCDP for development
and proposal to the 2012-2013 CIP budget.
4.
COMMUNITY NOTIFICATION OF MEETINGS AND RELATED INFORMATION (15
Minutes)
- The SKCDP AC will discuss potential sites in the District to post SKCDP AC
meeting agendas and related information.
