STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS:

Welcome/Introductions (5 minutes) —Deputy Director Margaret Masunaga will

introduce staff, welcome members of the South Kohala CDP Action mittee and
invite them to introduce themselves.
1) Swear in South Kohala CDP Action Committee Members (10 minutes) – Deputy
Managing Director Wally Lau will swear in SKCDP Action Committee members.
2) Sunshine Law Training (60 Minutes) — Deputy Corporation Counsel, Amy Self will
conduct a training on the Sunshine Law and its application to CDP Action
Committee members.
3) Roles and Responsibilities of the CDP Action Committee (20 minutes) — Project
Manager, Allen Salavea will review the roles and responsibilities of the Action
Committee.
4) Election of Chair and Vice Chair
5) Determine meeting schedule.

Notice:
If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five
days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (b), Hawaii County Code}. A
lobbyist means “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spend more
than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of
attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging
others to communicate with public officials.” (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii
County Code)

language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department
at 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five days prior to the meeting date, to
arrange for accommodations. “Other reasonable modification” refers to communication
